Most Cigar Box Guitars are simple. Not this one.
Built for local Texas player, Justin Broderick. He's played with many acts including the Peach Truck Republic. His playing ability inspired the amount of design that went into this instrument. Most of my CBG's are just a simple wood neck. This one has a four ply maple neck with a traditional truss rod and rosewood fretboard. The pickup is a Fender noiseless. I will add some audio and maybe even some video soon.
I've played guitar and bass for over ten years, but never owned one of these.
That being said....
POP QUIZ!
What are the advantages of 4 vs 6 strings?
nylon vs steel or phosphoris strings?
suggested standard tuning?
electronics or no electronics?
If so, recommended electronics setup?
Thanks!!!
Samantha
I love the cut out design for sound, the stain is rich looking and i love that you went the extra mile and made it electric. then again it was for a professional musician so i guess thats a must isnt it? ^_^
Very nicely done, i love the headstock design... it reminds me of a warwick bass
